Two residential apartments and a workshop were constructed in this adaptive reuse of a historic cotton mill building, part of a complex on the banks of the Blackstone River. The exterior is preserved and restored, while the building is upgraded with modern amenities. A spare, industrial palette informs the design of each unit, allowing the richness of the surrounding mill complex to take center stage.
